Report: Lebanon Foils Plot to Fire Rockets on Israel - The Israel Project: "However, UNIFIL’s mission is increasingly about ensuring Iran-backed Hezbollah does not breach United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 that calls for the disarming of all non-governmental forces in Lebanon. Hezbollah has been rearming itself despite Resolution 1701.
Hezbollah is known to have some 40,000 missiles pointed at Israel in southern Lebanon alone.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said last week that “Hezbollah has more missiles and rockets than most states.” Gates confirmed that Hezbollah poses a terror threat and that it has anti-ship cruise missiles in its stockpile.
Even though Israel withdrew its forces from Lebanon, as directed by U.N. Security Council Resolution 425, Hezbollah has maintained positions directly opposite the Israeli border."
